In 1875 Geo. F. Trumper founded his exclusive barbershop at No. 9 Curzon Street in the London district of Mayfair. It can still be found there today, in almost unchanged form. Later, a second shop was added on Jermyn Street.
Trumper became the court hairdresser to Queen Victoria and was henceforth allowed to call himself "Court Hairdresser".
Today, the name Trumper stands for stylish, luxurious shaving products and exquisite fragrances, some of which are over 100 years old.

Die Rum-Duftnote ist sehr sehr dezent, kaum riechbar. Der Nelkenduft ist sehr presänt. Wem Nelken gefällt ist hier richtig. Passt auch sehr gut zu Weihnachten. Weihnachten.

Bei jedem Hersteller riecht „Bay Rum“ ganz anders. Dieses hier von Trumper riecht etwas nach Lorbeer und stark nach „Nägeli“ (F=girofle D=Gewürznelke GB=clove). Damit wird jede andere allenfalls noch enthaltene Duftnote plattgewalzt. Ich vermisse die warmen, süsslichen Noten von Rum. Das „Trumper Bay Rum“ ist mir zu einseitig; es ist leider nichts für mich.
